🔨Google Slides

  • Online presentation app used for slide shows

  • Google slides can be used for instructional purposes in the classroom for in person learning. Google Slides are also great for virtual learning since they can easily be pushed out through Google Classroom, E-mail, or Google Meets.

  • In my classroom, I use Google Slides to present lesson materials. I organize the standards, "I Can" statements, activators, work session material, and closings to my lessons on these slides. I also use Google Slides as a group rotation tool during Guided Reading Groups.

  • Using Google Slides meets the needs of my students by providing them with clear expectations, lesson materials, and visuals for each lesson. Google slides as a rotation tool is a great way to keep students on task and keep transitions smooth. I also enjoy using Google Slides to incorporate interactive lessons with my students. Students love getting to use the teacher's board and are actively engaged in lessons!

🔨Flocabulary

  • Educational hip hop songs, videos, and additional materials for students in grades K-12.

  • Flocabulary can be used for instructional purposes in the classroom on the SMART board. It is also great for virtual learning since it can be accessed online and shared through Google meet sessions.

  • I use Flocabulary as activator videos in my classroom regularly. I also use Flocabulary for fact fluency videos.

  • This tool actively engages students by providing educational hip-hop songs for them to sing. Students love singing along and get excited every time we play a video from Flocabulary. It meets the needs of students by providing a variety of videos for different subjects and grade levels.

🔨Epic!

  • Subscription-based reading and learning platform that offers access to books and videos

  • Epic! can be used in the classroom on the SMART board for class read alouds. Students can also access this site through a class code on their own computers in the classroom. It is also great for virtual learning since students can access Epic! on a desk top or a mobile device.

  • I use Epic! in my classroom for interactive read alouds. Students can also access Epic! through a class code and read on their own time.

  • This tool engages my students and meets their needs by providing interactive read alouds where the teacher can incorportate different standards. There are also stories on different reading levels which provides differentiation so that my students can read on their own reading level.

🔨 BrainPOP

  • BrainPOP is an educational website with short videos for students in grades K-12. It has quizzes and other related material covering a wide range of subjects.

  • BrainPOP is great to grab students attention in the classroom and engage them in the lesson. BrainPOP can also be used virtually since it can be accessed online and shared during google meet sessions.

  • BrainPOP is one of my favorite tools to use in the classroom. It works great as activators in lessons.

  • This tool actively engages students and meets their needs by providing a wide range of videos covering material related to the Georgia Standards of Excellence.

🔨Nearpod

  • Nearpod is an educational platform that provides an interactive learning experience with videos, lessons, and other activities. Nearpod provides ready-to-teach, customizable, standard-alligned lessons. Teacher also have the option to make their own!

  • Nearpod is a great tool to provide interactive lessons in the classroom. It can also be used virtually during Google meets by sharing a code or a link with students!

  • I use Nearpod in my classroom to provide interactive lessons for many subjects. Personally, I love to use Nearpod during Social Studies lessons. It provides students with an interactive experience and allows them to go on a "virtual" field trip.

  • Nearpod actively engages students and meets their needs by providing them with an interactive experience. Nearpod provides informal assessment tools so that the teacher can monitor students' learning and assess their individual needs.
