Here students are playing one of their favorite games, Gold Quest. The game centers on players trying to get to the top of the leaderboard while having money stolen from them by others. Whenever there is an uproar, you better believe someone who had a bunch of gold has been robbed in the twinkle of an eye.

Students love to learn in creative competitive ways. Kahoot is very effective and excites my students about learning. When students know they play after a lesson, they pay more attention to the content which better prepares them to win the game. I reward the top 3 winners with candy.

I utilize Google Slides often to lecture, introduce standards and new vocabulary. Students have an ongoing slide deck where they enter new terms, definitions and multimedia that helps them remember the term. During lectures and group work, students always have their slide deck open to refer to when they come across standard based vocabulary. This is also a great tool to refresh students on prior knowledge vocabulary as well.
Google Slides has as many features. Students are always engaged when using. Anytime their is any type of project given, students always utilize slides as a tool for presentation purposes.

Google Earth is a computer program that renders a 3D representation of Earth based primarily on satellite imagery. The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles
Google Earth is assessable on any device with internet access. Assignments can be created in google classroom and students can complete in class or virtually.
In social studies, we visit several countries and have to locate physical features. Google Earth is a great tool for students to get a visual. We often take virtual field trips and explore the features in-depth. Students are mesmerized by the 3D imagery. Google Earth allows students to enter buildings and take tours.
Welcome to Field Trip Friday!! Students took a fascinating tour of Brasilia, the Capital City of Brazil. There, students were able to tour the National Congress Building and actually take a peek at where the Senate and Chamber of Deputies convene. What an Awesome time we had!!
