Bio

I've been married to Joey Shepard Snyder for 22 years and we have three children, Sydney--19, Mason--17, and Luke--15. I graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) with B.S. in Mathematics in May of 2000 and began teaching in August of that year. I later earned my M. S. in Secondary Mathematics from GSW in 2007 and my Ed. S. in Teacher Leadership from GSW in 2013. This is my 22nd year teaching and coaching, having begun my career in 2000 at Southland Academy in Americus, GA. We remained in Americus from the fall of 2000-spring 2002. While at Southland, I taught 9th and 10th grade Geometry and 8th grade Pre-Algebra. I coached 3 sports: HS and MS baseball, and HS and MS boy's basketball, and JV girl's fast pitch softball. In July of 2002 we moved to Washington, GA and I taught and coached for 1 year at Washington-Wilkes Middle School. While in Washington, I taught 7th grade math and was the Head Middle School Football and Baseball Coach. In May of 2003 we moved to Cochran, GA where I taught 7th and 8th Grade Math at Bleckley County Middle School and remained there for 2 school years (till May of 2005). While in Bleckley County, I coached High School Baseball and Football. In May of 2005 we got the opportunity to move to Irwin County, my high school Alma Mater, where I accepted the job of high school Head Baseball Coach and assistant high school Football Coach. In my almost 17 years in Irwin County I've taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 3, Advanced Mathematical Decision Making and several other subjects. I've coached high school baseball, football, girl's basketball, and middle school football and baseball. I currently teach Geometry, Algebra 2, and AMDM. I am also the Middle School Head Football and Baseball Coach.
