Waterford is a tool used to help students increase their knowledge in reading and math. Prek-2nd grade is were Waterford is demonstrated. Students would do a baseline assessment to determine what learning path they would be on. It helps students with different methods of learning skills. During the use of Waterford, the teacher portion will be directed by a song, guided practice, and independent practice. This show student’s mastery of a skill. Teachers are able to check students progress to see what they have mastered, and what is being retained of a certain skill.
Waterford can be use either in person or virtually. Students are able to log on Waterford in person by using a unique QR code or typing in their credentials. When students see a stop sign, they know it means to let teacher know they are finish. After, the teacher will help students log off. Virtually, students have their own QR code to take home to access at home. This can help students who are isolation. Students could work on activities either at home or in person.
After lunch, students enjoy working on Waterford. It help keeps student engage as they are learning different skills. There sometime where students may need some direction from the teacher. As I walk around the room, I monitor to see if any students may need my help. I have watch students as they are working on Waterford listening on the songs and contents are engaging to them. Waterford is skilled to help students prepare for kindergarten readiness. Even students who are not making "progress" with the CONTENT are learning how to operate a keyboard mouse. I feel the keyboard will help students work toward going to kindergarten, which this is biggest struggles. Since, students used everything being touch screen it will help them in the long run.
From the teacher portal, teachers may view how many minutes/days students completed view . Teacher can also view their objective progress, as well as many other tools.

In my classroom, I use Get EPIC a lot. The requirement for Pre-K is two books daily, so Get EPIC could replace the two reading books. Often, Get EPIC help support books to fit our “Theme” in our curriculum.
My students enjoy seeing and learning with Get EPIC displayed on the promethean board. The students also enjoy sharing how the feel or learned with the board as we read each page.

When You-Tube displayed for in person learning, it is primarily done during Music movement time. Virtual learning, parents may access the videos. Part of the Pre-K guideline, YouTube is used on a daily basic. We are required to have 1 music with movement activity each day! Each activity has to include a focus. Sometimes the focus may be dancing creatively. Other times, the focus may be centered on a math skill, social emotional skill, etc.....
YouTube meet the needs of our students by giving them ideas and suggestions of how to dance creatively, while also learning content. Previously for music with movement time, teachers played old school CD player boombox style. Now with our technology, students are able to engage with the tools. At the end of our daily closing activity, the students love to finish their day by watching Blippi learning on. YouTube videos help to make their experience more enjoyable.

This allows students to hover over the objects that rhyme with the base word. This project too place in my classroom using “Mr. Forgetful” helping Mr. Man to remember phonological awareness skills he has forgotten. Google Slide was also used during our virtual days which was NOT LIVE. This way was for students to know what to do for each area of the day.
