About Mrs. Haire

Kayla Haire is a 2006 graduate of Irwin County High School in Ocilla, Georgia. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University in 2010, she returned to her alma mater to start her teaching career. Haire has been teaching high school English at Irwin County High School since 2018. She has teaching experience at the elementary level in Ocilla as well, having taught first and fifth grades at Irwin County Elementary School before transitioning into her current position. She later received her Master of Science in Reading and Literacy from Walden University and became additionally certified in English (Grades 6-12), and Gifted Education (Grades K-12) with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Haire is a member of the Beta Pi chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and the Ocilla- Irwin chapter of Pilot International. She is married to Allen Haire and they have two daughters, Charlee and Ava. She is a Southern Baptist who loves her family and enjoys attending sporting events, traveling to the beach, and singing at church. Haire was named the 2022 Irwin County High School and Irwin County School System Teacher of the Year. She has a passion for educating her students in a way that makes them understand the importance of becoming life-long learners.
