Google Classroom:
If you would like to be added to Google Classroom, send me an email with your name, your child's name and a working email address and I will get you added. You will be able to see announcements and work summaries of what your child has done or is missing in class that is assigned on Google Classroom. *Please keep in mind, that not everything that we complete is digital or assigned to this platform; several things we complete in class are hard copies, labs or projects.
Resources for Helping Your Student
Crash Course - Biology is a GREAT YouTube series for assisting your student (and helping the adults at home) with understanding biology. I've used these throughout my time as a student and as a teacher for supplemental learning. It isn't as great as getting it firsthand in class, but these have helped me tremendously when studying and trying to understand certain topics as I was going through getting my degree.
Amoeba Sisters is another great YouTube series for biology. One of the sisters is a former biology teacher and the other is a graphic designer who does the animation for the videos. Just like with Crash Course, these videos aren't the best as getting the information first hand, but they're still really great with getting the important things out to students.
Quizlet is also a good resource to use for studying and getting students prepared for the EOC in biology. Remember, the EOC is worth 20% of your student's final grade; so the earlier they start studying, the better prepared they will be.
