What are the guidance areas?
I visit each class on average twice a month conducting guidance lessons. Guidance curriculum is taught as a preventative or remedial measure that focuses on the developmental needs of students. I use the Texas Model along with a scope and sequence set by Irving ISD with looking specifically at what students at T. J. Lee needs. Examples of guidance lessons may include test taking skills, stress management, goal setting, career awareness, friendship skills and dealing with feelings.
