MANILA, Philippines (18-19 March 2026) — Partners of the ASEAN-CGIAR Innovate for Food and Nutrition Security Regional Program convened for a closing workshop and open forum session, marking a key milestone and transition point in the program’s first phase.
As part of the benchmarking visit by the Department of Science and Technology – Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) of the Philippines to Vietnam, under the ASEAN-CGIAR Innovate for Food and Nutrition Security Initiative – Intervention Package 8 (Food Systems Transformation for More Nutritious and Healthy Diets), the Food Environment and Consumer Behavior (FE&CB) team of the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT welcomed the delegation and shared experiences on Vietnam’s food system innovations, governance models, and policy frameworks. The discussions focused on how Vietnam has developed adaptive, data-driven responses to address food system challenges.

Bangkok, Thailand – The ASEAN-CGIAR Innovate for Food and Nutrition Security Regional Program recently convened a meeting, bringing together key stakeholders to review progress and strategically plan for its next phases. The event brought together Intervention Package (IP) Conveners and the Programme Management Team to assess the achievements of the initial five-year period and lay the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at improving food and nutrition security across the ASEAN region.
