See the four options below for credit recovery
1. Remediation with the teacher: The quarter IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE F GRADE a student can contract with a teacher to remediate the grade. There is a $40.00 fee. Once the work has been turned in, graded and the fee paid the teacher will change the grade with the registrar. This option only applies to the quarter following the failed grade.
2. Learning Strategies: Canyon View High School offers a class built into a student’s schedule for them to work on credit recovery. The Learning Strategies class is run by a teacher. A student works at his/her own pace through an online program called Edgenuity. This program is free. Students must complete at least one quarter of make up credit during the quarter to be allowed to stay in the class. Alternative placement will then be discussed with the student and parent if credits aren’t being made up at CVHS.
3. SEA Summer School Make-up Program: Starts in June and runs 3 weeks. Referral must come from the counselor. SEA is located at 844 S. 475 W. on the same street as the Southwest Tech building and across the street from Cedar High School. Registration won’t open until April 1st.
4. Utah Online Summer school Program: Starts in June and ends in July. Classes are free with limited selection. Please see your counselor in the spring to get the updated information for the summer program. Registration won’t open until April 1st

I have an empty spot on my schedule
I am not in the right class placement
I have two classes on my schedule for the same period
