Participation (15%) - This grade is largely based upon your attitude, work ethic, responsibility, and social skills. Students will receive this grade every quarter. Everyone starts at 100% and points will be taken off at the teacher’s discretion. Points can be added on to this grade when you do tasks that are above and beyond the required work.

Homework (15%) -The homework will reflected what will be on upcoming quizzes and the answers can be found in the notes. No late work will be accepted. Homework is due on the day of the quiz.

Quizzes (30%)- The quizzes are designed to measure student understanding of different areas of technology. The content for the quizzes will come directly from the notes and homework.  

Projects (40%) - The Projects represent a large portion of the content covered in 8th grade technology. These are hands- on activities that relate to the units we will be covering. If a student falls behind they will have to make-up the work either during study hall or after school.

Quarter 1 - 40%     Quarter 2 - 40%  Final Exam - 20%
