Short Response

The students will be writing many short responses throughout the school year. In the beginning of the year we work on them together and as they progress I assign one SR a week. I allow the students to hand it in early for me to check over before they hand it in for a grade. After I grade and return them to the students they then have the options of coming to a lunch review to go over it and rewrite it for a higher grade.
