Second grade students are expected to read the 25 sight word list.

Students are encouraged to practice sight words at home.  Rapid recognition of sight words is necessary to read at grade level.

Please take time to help your child learn the words. Flashcards are a quick and easy way to do this. If your child does not know a word, tell them the word and make them repeat it, and then move on to the next word. Over time, they will learn it.
