Homework

The purpose of homework is to reinforce what your child is learning in school. It should take 15 minutes or less to complete per subject.

Please check your child's homework folder daily and return it to school the next day. I will check student folders each day. Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday.

Math Homework- Each week your child will bring home math homework, WOW, to be completed and returned the next week. This is a review of the new skill we learned or that we are reviewing. Your child should work on this independently. If they require assistance circle the number of the problem, as an indicator for me.

Students need to know their facts by rote for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. For additional practice go to IXL.com/indian or use flashcards.

Word Study - Practice word study with your child.

Here are some additional reinforcement options:

study your math facts with flash cards or on the computer

visit the sites listed on my links page

write a story in your writers notebook and ask to share it in class

write a poem and share it in class

send a letter, card, or e-mail to a friend or relative

play outside

Use your imagination...!!! Learning takes place EVERYWHERE!
