Home Schooling Information

As of the date of the submission of the IRCSD Reopening Plan (7/31/2020), school districts do not have a regulatory option to provide "fully remote instruction" to students without documented health conditions.  Unless otherwise directed through an Executive Order, schools must offer programming to all students in a manner consistent with the district’s uniform plan. The only legal option afforded to families is a formal "Home Schooling" program, as specified in Section 100.10 of Education Law.  Families interested in pursuing a Home Schooling Program should contact the Office of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at 315-642-3441, extension 11263. If this regulation and/or guidance from NYSED changes, IRCSD may offer a ‘choice’ of school programming options.
