Good afternoon,
This is Brian Blake, Superintendent of Schools for the Ipswich Public Schools with another update. I want to thank you all for participating in the back to school survey that was sent out last week. We have over 95% participation. If you haven’t completed the survey yet, you have a few more hours. The survey will close at 5:00 today. The results of the survey will be shared out once the data has been analyzed. The link to the survey is: https://forms.gle/w6HTZvsEEw8HgMEy9
Later today, we will be sending out a survey to STUDENTS who are rising 8th-12th graders. The email/survey link will be sent to their school email address. Please ask your student to complete the survey for us, as their voice is also important in this process. Thank you.
The three plans for educating our students in the fall are starting to take shape. As you know, we are required to present 3 plans to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education: Full in-person learning, full remote, and a hybrid model, which is learning both in the school and remotely. The preliminary plans have to be submitted by July 31. Although we have to present the three plans to DESE, the Ipswich School Committee will have the final say based on recommendations from the Reopening Oversight Committee as to what is best for Ipswich students, staff, and families. I will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
Thank you and have a great week.
-Dr. Blake
