Completion of these activities must be verified and signed-off on, by the activity supervisor, prior to acceptance of these hours for a passing grade.

Students must take 35 credits each year to assure promotion to the next grade.
Competency Determination
In December 2024, Mass General Law, M.G.L. c. 69, s. 1D (i), was amended to eliminate passing the MCAS as the “competency determination” (CD) required for graduation from Massachusetts public high schools. Instead, students must meet the CD by completing locally-determined coursework aligned with the state curriculum frameworks previously assessed on the MCAS.
Successful completion of the following courses in our Program of Studies, as defined by a final average of 60 or above, will demonstrate that students have met our local Competency Determination.
English 9 and English 10
Algebra I and Geometry
Biology
Please note that students who complete a full Algebra I course at the middle school level will have that course counted toward their CD. Beginning with the Class of 2027, students must pass US History as an additional requirement to earn the CD.
