Waubonsie Valley High School is a comprehensive four-year (9-12) high school serving the Naperville/Aurora suburban community located approximately 40 miles west of Chicago along Illinois' high-tech corridor. It was established in 1975 in a rapidly growing school district and consists of students with variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The district has an attractive mix of residential, executive corporate, and retail areas. WVHS has been recognized as an Illinois Exemplary High School. The average class size is 27:1, excluding physical education and music. Students participate in a broad spectrum of activities and clubs. WVHS has an outstanding athletic program including more than 25 varsity sports and many intramurals. WVHS is fully accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education and is a member of both NACAC and IACAC.
