Hello! My name is Katie Yi and I am a music teacher at Gwendolyn Brooks and Nancy Young Elementary Schools. This is my 15th year teaching and my 12th year in IPSD 204! I have had the privilege of teaching at Brooks for the last 3 years and am excited to join the team at Young, as well this year! In the past, I've taught at Longwood and Brookdale within District 204 as well as Rockford Public School District 205. 

I LOVE teaching in District 204 and I also loved being a student in our district, too! Both my husband and I are graduates of Waubonsie Valley High School. 

At Brooks, I am responsible for the 4th/5th grade chorus, 2nd grade program, and some sections of general music. At Young, I am responsible for the 2nd grade program, and some sections of general music.
