This is my 17th year of teaching. I am in my tenth year in District 204 and my ninth year at Builta. Before coming to District 204, I spent 14 years at home with my children. Before children, I taught for seven years in Plainfield.
I currently have twin sons who are almost 23, a son who is almost 21, and a daughter who is a senior at Waubonsie Valley. I love watching them grow into the people they are becoming.
I also have two cute, but troublesome goldendoodles-Lilly who is seven and a half, and Nico who just turned six. In my free time, I enjoy taking walks with them and my husband. I also enjoy reading and watching my daughter play softball.
I love teaching fifth graders! They are at an amazing point in development. Their minds are starting to really think beyond themselves, but yet, they are still little, even though they will try to deny it! The curriculum I get to teach them is amazing, and I cannot wait to see how they will grow this year.
Enjoy this year! While we will work hard on responsibility and being ready for middle school, this last year of elementary school is one to cherish. I am so excited to work with all of you this year!
