First grade artists are creating a large watermelon using paper weaving. Students will practice weaving paper strips over and under to create a pattern and build the inside of the watermelon. We will explore how artists use patterns, shapes, and color to create interesting designs. This project helps strengthen fine motor skills while encouraging focus and creativity.
