GEOMETRY ESSENTIALS Grade 10-12. Placement required.
Geometry Essentials covers all the basic geometry concepts, using problem-solving through inductive and deductive reasoning, but with little emphasis on formal proofs. A solid foundation of solving algebraic equations is essential to applying new geometry concepts. The course includes topics such as distance concepts, angles, triangles, geometric inequalities, parallel and perpendicular lines and planes, polygons, circles, and spatial figures and their properties. Right-triangle trigonometry is introduced. A scientific calculator and ruler are required. Students will be using an online assignment program which requires internet access and the use of a computer or digital device.
I will use a Google classroom page to provide links for worksheets and other handouts. On occasion an assignment will be submitted through classroom. Here is a video link to help you navigate through Google classroom.
