2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Wendel Bullukian
Hi, I’m Wendel, the PTA Co-President at Kendall Elementary this year. Over the past several years, I’ve enjoyed being involved behind the scenes at Kendall, from helping with the Variety Show to running tech for many of our school events—and occasionally taking on a few other star-studded responsibilities around the school.
My daughter, Katara, is in fifth grade this year, so as we head into our final year at Kendall, I’m looking forward to making it a memorable one for her and the entire Kendall community.
Melissa McGee
My name is Melissa McGee and I’m very excited to be one of the Kendall PTA Co-Presidents for this school year. Last year I was a Board member and the previous year I helped with various committees. In addition to being Co-President, I am also in charge of the LMC volunteering schedule!
My husband David and I moved to Naperville about 3 years ago now and I began staying home with my girls after over a decade working in pediatric healthcare. While I miss the hospital, I love being able to be more engaged and available for all of their activities, including school! I have two daughters, Nora who is in third grade and Emme who is in kindergarten.
I am looking forward to continuing the great work the PTA has done the past years and I am excited to support the Kendall community and our amazing staff and school!
Sarah Shaughnessy
Hi, I'm Sarah Shaughnessy and am excited to be serving as PTA Vice President at Kendall this year! I'll also be supporting our Kendall spirit wear store, classroom parties and PTA website.
A little bit about me: my husband Colin and I met while attending Waubonsie Valley High School and after relocating around the Midwest, we moved back to Naperville to raise a family. Our oldest son, Bennett just wrapped up his time and Kendall and will be starting 6th grade at Crone. Liam will be in 4th grade and our twins, Grace and Owen will be in 1st grade this year.
I look forward to working alongside the Board to support our Patriot students and families through the work of our PTA. We have such an amazing school community and I can't wait for the year ahead!
Liz Caliban
I’m excited to serve as Kendall’s PTA Co-Secretary for the 2026–2027 school year. Alongside a great group of board members, I’m looking forward to planning family nights and other events that bring our community together.
With a background in education, I have a deep appreciation for the incredible work our teachers do every day, and I’m passionate about supporting them in meaningful ways. This year, my husband Bret and I will have a 4th grader at Kendall, while our other children are off on their own adventures in preschool and middle school. As both a parent and a volunteer, I truly believe in the power of a strong school community—and I can’t wait to continue working with all of you to make Kendall the best it can be!
Kate Franck
This is my first year serving on the Kendall PTA Board, and I am excited to step into the role of Co‑Secretary. For the past two years, I have served as the PTA Enrichment Chair, where I helped coordinate the before and after school programs, as well as have volunteered at many school and PTA events. Supporting the Kendall community has become a meaningful part of my family’s life.
My husband, Ryan, and I met at the University of Iowa. I grew up in Naperville and moved back here with my family in 2020. We have three boys—Keegan (4th grade), Riley (3rd grade), and Cole, who is currently in preschool. With our children growing within this wonderful school community, I look forward to contributing as a board member this year and helping strengthen the inclusive, supportive environment that makes Kendall such a special place.
Natalie Slankard
I am excited to serve as the Kendall PTA Treasurer this year! I am a speech-language pathologist and assistive technology specialist in the Plainfield 202 School District, and I am passionate about building strong communities and supporting inclusion for all families. My husband, Greg, and I moved to Naperville for the excellent schools, and our children are currently in 2nd grade and kindergarten at Kendall. We're grateful to the staff and parents who have worked so hard to make Kendall the wonderful school it is, and I’m looking forward to giving back to the school community that means so much to our family.
