Welcome to 8-1 Social Studies for the 2024-2025 school year! This year's focus for Social Studies is AMERICAN HISTORY. Through this class, the goal remains to provide an overview of the history of our country through thematic topics of inquiry in 4 units.  Through the use of primary documents, videos, discussion, questioning, and collaboration, students will work to develop their understanding of the the complex history of America - the good and the bad - while working to develop their skills at crafting historical arguments.
