Hi everyone! I am so excited to start my 19th year of teaching with you!
Unfortunately, I can't promise that technology will always work, that I will not make mistakes or forget things (we probably all will at some point), that things will always be easy or that science will become your favorite subject (although I won't complain if it does).
What I can promise is that I will do my best to be understanding, help support and guide you through challenges, help you grow as a person and learner, help you appreciate science and understand why it's important, as well as find some humor in just about every science topic we learn about!
I am a little nervous about this year (and you may be too) because its a new schedule, there are lots of new faces, and you all outnumber me 😉. However, different is not bad. It will challenge us to learn and collaborate differently. It will challenge us to be flexible in trying new things, which may not work the way we had planned. With whatever challenges that may come our way, just remember that we are in this together!
A LITTLE ABOUT MRS. WHITE
I have been married for almost 15 years to my husband who teaches 8th grade science at Hill MS.
I have 2 kids: Elliott (10) who is in 5th grade and Amelia (7 ) who is in 2nd grade. They both love soccer and play for Team Chicago.
I recently had to say goodbye to my 14 1/2 year old rescue dog named Jerry who was an amazing part of our family. He went everywhere with us, including a 14 day RV road trip around Lake Superior last summer. It is true what they say, pets are truly family!
I LOVE the outdoors! Hiking, swimming, snorkeling, biking, kayaking, basketball, soccer, running, photographing nature, gardening
