Your instrument - rented. Please do not purchase one without asking us first. Before purchasing an instrument, there are several important items you need to know about string instruments. This is something that we start discussing with our students when they are in 8th grade.

Shoulder rest for violin and viola players with a way to attach this to your case (Gallon storage zip bags work great for this)
Music stand - click here for the link
Rosin – please put your name on the bottom of the block. This is found inside the instrument case when you get your instrument
Three-ring binder – 1.5 INCH with 5 dividers (You may make your own dividers out of paper and post-it notes if you wish)

Technique/Shifting
Theory (add 20 sheets of loose-leaf paper to this section)
History
Entrance/Exit Slips
Three-ring pencil pouch - put this in the front of your three-ring binder that is just for orchestra
Soft cloth for cleaning the instrument - some stores provide this with the instrument
Pencils - 5 sharpened pencils in your orchestra pencil pouch
Rock stops for cello and bass players - this is provided with your instrument
Fingernail clippers
Music shirt - will be ordered at the beginning of the year on Push Coin
