I'm so happy to be working with you this school year at Brookdale! To give you a little background about myself, I went to Wartburg College in Iowa for my undergrad, where I received my Bachelors in Education with an endorsement in reading. After I graduated, I was accepted into a graduate program for first year teachers at the University of Nebraska - Omaha. I completed my first year teaching 3rd grade in Omaha while enrolled in Masters classes. I graduated with a Masters in Education with an emphasis in science and math. I've been teaching ever since!
I moved from Omaha to Illinois in 2007 and have been working in District 204 since that time. I spent one year at Longwood Elementary, taught at Georgetown Elementary for eleven years, and now I am an ELL teacher in 204. I live in Wheaton with my husband and daughter. We love to travel and read books. We spend as much time as we can biking, walking, baking, playing games and reading.
