Grades are weighted for the class. 

• Summative Assessments (tests/projects) = 70%

• Formative Assessments (quizzes/reading checks) = 30%

• Assignments (classwork/homework) will be assessed and checked for completion. 

Classwork and homework are a vital component of the Middle School program.  It is the student’s responsibility to see that all assignments are handed in or are ready to be checked on the due date assigned by the teacher. It is important that all work, whether on time or late, be turned in for evaluation and feedback.
