Leadership Philosophy

Transformational leaders get the most out of their workers by forming relationships and creating a culture where everyone and everyone’s opinion is valued.  Awarding teachers and students who go above and beyond to make a difference at our campus establishes a sense of pride for the campus. Transformational leadership also requires maximizing your teams capacity and capability.  Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) are an example of this trait.  PLC’s allow teams of teachers to gather data, share ideas, and develop collaborative lessons that will best help students be successful.  Learning walks and PLC’s are both researched practices that help improve student scores.  Transformational leadership also allows teachers to grow into teacher leaders.  In a transformational school the vision is developed and shared among all stakeholders.  This allows teachers to be part of the process and solution for school issues, visions, and whatever else may need to be determined.
