J.E.E.T. - The Placement Cell

The Career Counseling and Placement Committee of Indraprastha College for Women is best described by its new name, J.E.E.T., which stands for Jobs | Entrepreneurship | Excellence | Talent. J.E.E.T. works towards facilitating fellow students to make informed decisions about their career choices. By bringing campus recruiters from various sectors, it offers graduating students a range of job opportunities, catering to the requirements of students from different subject streams.

J.E.E.T. also facilitates internship opportunities for students – In-office Internships (during the winter and summer break) as well as Part-time/Virtual Internships (during the session) – which enable them to gain practical exposure and to explore their aptitude through work experience.

"The current scenario of Indian economy has shown indications of resilience and recovery in the post-pandemic period. The number of positive predictions for India’s future growth puts spotlight on the country’s ability to employ people. With the country’s focus on developing youth’s skills and improving the employment rate, the placement cell plays a pivotal role in training the women and providing them with the opportunities to work in their desired fields. The college recognises and acknowledges the youth’s importance as the future of this country and thus the cell strives to provide a platform for the students of the college to interact with the recruiters.

The job sector being an extremely competitive field the cell has been a key driver to understand each student’s potential and guide them towards the achievement of their goals while providing them with the required opportunities, training and exposure. The college has had recruitments from Bain & Company, DE Shaw & Co, Barclays, Deloitte, EY, Nation with Namo, Godrej Properties, Yamaha, JLL and many other such potential recruiters. 

The placement cell aims to empower and guide students to plan their professional career by providing them with the information about the recruiters approaching the college and a platform to utilise their skills in the corporate world.  The goal is to ensure that we assist young women to prepare for their life in their desired fields in the corporate world and for this a number of seminars, webinars, guest lectures are conducted. 

The placement cell strives towards achieving 100% placement. This is to ensure that students are not only given the best academic opportunities but also translate their skills from the classrooms to corporate world and thus enabling an ecosystem within the college to harness the student’s potential and guiding them in their professional life. There have been 181 offer letters that had been received from top recruiters and an average package of 6.87 LPA with top package being 21 LPA.
