About ECA Societies

Every year, young women brave through the battlefield of cut-offs and take admission into Indraprastha College for Women. Only the ones from the finest academic backgrounds can pass through the gates of this esteemed heritage college of Delhi University. However, a college student’s growth is not one dimensional, solely based on academic pursuits; extracurricular activities are equally essential to give depth and width to that growth. Indraprastha College for Women encourages and strives for the all-round development of the students. IPCW has a wide array of Extra Curricular Activity (ECA) Societies and Clubs spanning across all areas of creativity and passion; dance, debate, music, drama, fine arts, photography, quizzing, theatre, poetry; the list goes on. With faculty members as advisors and elected student executives as the organizational team, each ECA Society is a cohesive unit, knitted together by the same fervor; and together they make college life dynamic, vibrant and joyful!

Societies are outlets for students to learn and grow with peer-groups, to hone their talents and to showcase their creativity. There are regular workshops, exhibitions, competitions and events to creatively engage the student community of IPCW. ECA Societies and Clubs are also an interface with the larger student community. Indraprastha College for Women offers all avenues to its young female students to pursue their passions and to express their opinions so as to take fearless and confident strides in all walks of life.
