COVID-19 Update

Dear participants,

Due to the current situation, the entire CPS-IoT Week 2020 has been converted into an online event. This also holds for the Fog-IoT Workshop on April 21, which we are planning to run in digital format over Zoom. Given that the presenters are located in different time zones, from Central Europe to Eastern Australia, we will run the workshop in a quite compressed format. We are aiming for 08.00–12.00 CEST (UTC +2), which corresponds to 14.00–18.00 CST (UTC +8) and 16.00–20.00 AEST (UTC +10).

We will schedule the workshop so that the presenters from Australia and China (the two invited speakers and two of the papers) go first, followed by the European presenters at the end. For each paper, we will schedule a total of 15 minutes, of which 10 minutes should be your presentation (speaking and showing slides using screen sharing on Zoom) and 5 minutes reserved for questions and discussion. So please keep your slide presentation very short! If your contribution was accepted as a poster, you will be allowed a total of 5 minutes to introduce your poster to everyone, and there will be a virtual poster session in breakout rooms towards the end of the meeting.

In preparing the final schedule for the workshop, we would like to have confirmation that (at least) one of the authors of each paper or poster will be able to participate in the online meeting. Please do so by sending an email to anton.cervin@control.lth.se.

The online workshop will be free of charge (also for authors), and anybody is welcome to participate. However, to keep a record of the attendance and also to maintain some minimum security level at the Zoom meeting, we still require that each participant signs up beforehand. Again, you do this by sending an email to anton.cervin@control.lth.se. A link to the zoom meeting will be distributed to all of the signed up participants one day before the workshop.

Please also note that our workshop is now formally separated from the CPS-IoT Week 2020, so if you have signed up and payed for the Fog-IoT Workshop in Sydney you should ask for a full refund of the workshop fee from the CPS-IoT organizers.
