Workshop Series

Baking Circle

Interwoven Occupational Therapy offers a young women's baking group on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

The goals of this social recreational activity include learning a new skill, building confidence by repeating favorite recipes, and having a non-screen based social experience.

The group meets Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:00-12:00pm. We prepare the dough for a variety of baked goods on Mondays and then bake and enjoy on Tuesdays. Items on the menu include homemade bagels, sourdough breads, cookies and cake (including decorating), pizza dough, with many more options to be determined!

The series is designed by an occupational therapist, with an eye to inclusivity, community engagement and intentional instruction.

If you're interested in enrolling, please reach out for more details!

Saturday Workshop Series

Interwoven Occupational Therapy offers group sessions to adolescents on the Saturdays!

The series is organized into sessions which revolve around different non-screen-based hobbies. The goal of each meeting is to hold time and a place to participate in these activities in a way which might not be possible with an adolescent's day to day schedule.

Each session will be led by an expert in the field. The small groups will meet from 10-11am on Saturdays. There will be encouragement for how to continue participating in the activity at home but no expectation of "homework."

The series is designed by an occupational therapist, with an eye to inclusivity, community engagement and intentional instruction.

Past sessions have included:  Photography, Group Singing, Embroidery, and Drawing

Get in touch if you would like information on upcoming sessions!

Summer 2023 Adolescent Workshop Series

Interwoven Occupational Therapy offered its first series of Summer Workshops in 2023. Read below to learn more about what this programming can look like. If you're interested in participating in something like this in 2024, please reach out!

The series is organized around weekly themes, which can be selected a la carte to learn more about already known interests or done all together to sample a variety of activities.

Each week's workshop will be taught by an expert in the fields of photography, drawing, embroidery, knitting, group singing, and cooking. The group will meet from 9am - 12pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for instruction time and participants will be sent home with projects to work on between meetings. Using guided reflection, participants will be encouraged to evaluate what they think of each activity and if they believe it is something they wish to continue pursuing.

The series is designed by an occupational therapist, with an eye to inclusivity, community engagement and intentional instruction. It was her love of craft as meaningful occupation that really brought what she was learning about in graduate school to life and was the inspiration for this offering.
