Who are we?
Meet ISD's library team!
Ms. Gina is the Teacher Librarian at ISD. She is eager to offer guidance and advice when it comes to locating reading material and resources for personal interest or academics. She also supports students and teachers in conducting effective research and correctly using citation and referencing whether it's for a class assignment, the Personal Project, or the Extended Essay. From refining research questions to evaluating sources and organizing citations, Ms. Gina is here to guide you through every step of the research process.
In addition, Ms. Bea and Ms. Marta help supervise the library and support library programming. They support learning, assist students when needed, and help ensure the library runs smoothly as a calm, welcoming, and well-organized space.
Stop by and say hello and check out a book!

Summer Reading Challenge: Literary Tourism!
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is built around the idea of Literary Tourism, encouraging both students and teachers to take their reading on the road this summer and enjoy books in a variety of different places and settings. Participants are invited to explore different “reading destinations” over the holidays and record their adventures on the challenge sheet (see below).
Selfies from each reading spot are encouraged to help capture the journey along the way.
Completed entries can be handed in to the MRC in September for a chance to win a prize in recognition of summer reading efforts and creativity.
The ISD Chronicles is our student-written school newspaper, showcasing stories, interviews, and perspectives from across our community.
