How can I apply to be a vendor?

Vending applications for 2025 are closed.
Can I volunteer to help?
We need volunteers to make this event successful! Volunteer roles include: Setup, Event Coordination / Planning - pre-event, Outreach - pre-event, Event Security, Medic, Vendor Support, Stage / Teach-in Support, Parking Assistance, Greeter, Raffle Table, Breakdown / Clean Up. Volunteer sign up is closed for 2025.
Is there a rain date?
Yes! In the event of extreme weather, we will be hosting the event on the following day, Sunday, September 21st. Vendors will be notified 48 hours before the event, and we will share information on the site as soon as we are able.
What are your values?
We believe in fostering an anti-racist, anti-Zionist, anti-ableist, trans-affirming, and queer-affirming space. We are abolitionists and believe in anti-imperialism and land back. Any behavior that conflicts with these values will result in the participant being asked to leave.
Is masking required?
Yes. Masks are required at this event —outdoors and indoors —as a form of resistance against the continued spread of Covid-19, surveillance, and threat of mask bans. High-quality N-95/KN-95 masks will be provided if you don’t have one. If you have recently tested positive for Covid or are feeling sick, please stay home. We ask that vendors and organizers take a rapid Covid-19 test the morning of the event (tests will be provided).
What other security measures are you taking to protect vulnerable community members?
We will have trained peacekeepers and descalators on site. The event is on private property, and legally, we retain the right to ask anyone to leave for any reason. We ask that no one take photos or video of any individuals without consent. Our onsite photographers will ask for consent before taking official Read & Resist Fest media.
Where should I park?
There is street parking on Hubbard Ave, Coolidge Ave, and Sherman Ave. Please do not park in a way that blocks residential driveways. You will be towed. Additional parking is available at the Northampton Montessori School at 51 Bates St and is only a short walk from the festival. More parking is available at the Enlite Cannabis Dispensary and near the roundabout on Damon Road.
Is there ADA Compliant Parking?
Yes, there are three accessible parking spaces available upon request outside the event. Please see the parking attendant when you arrive.
Will there be food at the festival?
Yes! We are inviting several food vendors to sell their goods at the festival.
Will there be a bathroom?
Yes. We have rented a wheelchair accessible port-o-potty for the event.
