Intentional is rooted in the belief that we need to take the opportunity to pause and reevaluate our daily lives. We focus on finding ways to thrive rather than just survive. It often feels as though we move from one task to another, barely hanging on. At Intentional, our goal is to equip everyone who walks through our doors with the skills and tools necessary to discover true peace and hope.
We are committed to never settling. We strive to offer programs and services that benefit everyone in our community. Additionally, we aim to advocate for and raise awareness about the importance of mental health services in other organizations and schools.
We look forward to getting to know you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

I'm excited that you're here! My name is Lauren Bonner, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and then I pursued my Master's degree in Counseling at East Texas Baptist University. After that, I obtained my licensure by passing the State Board Exam and completing 3,000 supervised hours.
I began my career at Burke Mental Health in Nacogdoches, Texas, where I received extensive training and gained valuable experience working with both children and adults. Later, I transitioned to a local Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), where I provided therapy services to Shelby and Panola Counties. During this time, I realized that more needed to be done for our community, so I began exploring ways to expand mental health and wellness services in our area.
I love our community and I am passionate about helping our people learn how to manage life in a way that allows them to thrive.

"With deep roots in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana, my husband and I completed our dream of building a log house on the Texas side of the Sabine River in 2014. Shortly after moving, I began seeing firsthand the urgent need for compassionate mental health support in our rural communities. In August 2015, I enrolled in East Texas Baptist University and completed my Master of Arts in Counseling degree in August 2017.
My experience working with individuals of all ages who have experienced trauma has shown me the incredible resilience we all possess — a resilience that I believe reflects the way God has uniquely created each of us to overcome life’s challenges.
I understand that life isn’t always fair, but I also believe that healing and hope are always possible for those who seek them..."
