Candidates will be assessed on the following components:

· Speaking
All components will be assessed online via the Test Invite platform.
Test format
Candidates will answer two sections, namely Section A (8 questions) and Section B (12 questions).
Section A can either be short paragraphs/passages, emails, letters and/or graphics.
Meanwhile, Section B has longer texts that can be derived from books, journal articles, magazines and newspapers.
Timing
The test will take 40 minutes.

One mark is awarded for each correct answer.
Test format
Candidates will have to write a 450-word* essay on a topic related to the civil service
*Test Invite does not count words. It only counts characters. Thus, your essay should be between 2,500 and 2,800 characters.

The test will take about 45 minutes.
Evaluation
Examiners will evaluate your writing performance based on the following criteria:
· Content (argument/description)
· Range (vocabulary)
· Accuracy (grammar and mechanics)
· Coherence (organisation and cohesion)
Test format
Candidates will be asked one question, which will be displayed on their screen. The question will reflect on their professional knowledge and/or experience.
Timing
The test window will open for 5 minutes.
· Candidates may prepare their speech within the first 2 minutes.
· Candidates must click the 'Start' button to record.
· Candidates have to speak for about 2-3 minutes.
Evaluation
Examiners will evaluate your speaking performances based on the following criteria:
· Range (vocabulary)
· Accuracy (grammar)
· Fluency (articulation)
· Coherence (organisation and cohesion)
