Adolescence, more than any stage of human development, records many conflicts, such as:
Body changes
Discovery of sexuality
Conflict between old and new friends
New mindset and independency and/or rebellion towards adults
Personality conflicts: low self-esteem
In groups or individually (as they feel more comfortable), students share experiences, reflections, information (after theoretical and practical research, through online formularies for instance) on some of the mentioned topics.
Students’ videos/podcasts/presentations on main issues related to adolescence.
Students prepare them before/during Easter holidays.
Watch each other's products; they will show them to their mates, and prepare comments on them: before 11th May.
11th May 15.30 CET online meeting with students to share impact of productions.
To help students reflect on the construction of their identity, to feel they are not alone.
How we will evaluate the exhibitions on adolescence:
- Follow-up note (the teacher has seen responsible, coordinated and productive work)
- Co-evaluation: each group will give a grade to their colleagues taking into account the following aspects:
o Rigorous presentation (contains enough reflection and depth + language correction)
o Structured presentation (the ideas have been organized)
o Creative presentation (it is not superficial, it is dynamic, "engages" the audience).
- Self evaluation:
o How do you see your own work in relation to others? (Be honest!)
