We are a group of 13, 14 and 15 years old students from Maria Rúbies high school in Lleida, Catalonia. We have created the lyrics of a song taking the melody of "I'm a believer", by Neil Diamond.
The song is about eating healthy food, taking care of the waste we produce at home, giving importance to the recycling process...
Thanks to the video, people are starting to recycle more, eating healthier products and buying 0km products from our community.
Once we had written the song, we started practising and singing it orally all together.
Later, in small groups we went to the music room and we started recording some verses.
After some abortive attempts, we could record the final version of the song.
Our work came later, when we had to mix our voices with the melody of the song.
Making of
While we were recording the song we had a great time, we laughed and we had fun.
There were times when we had technical problems but the teacher fixed them all.
In the following videos you will see our recording process and different scenes we recorded in different places of our high school and neighbourdhood.
Impact
The impact our project had in our community is that people pay more attention when they produce waste and they throw it away in the correct bin.
We have tried to raise people's awareness and make them realise that little actions can end up with wonderful solutions.
We will also like that people buy healhier, 0km and more sustainable products.
Another consequence of our project will be that people will recycle more and we will have less environmental pollution.
