THE NEW SPACES OF RADICAL ACTIVISM
17.00 - 18.15
Throughout Europe, political ecology seems to be marking time, with populations increasingly expressing distrust towards the ruling classes, accused of maintaining close ties with the extractive industry and of being unable to break free from growth and productivity logics. Feeling unrepresented, civil society is organizing itself, and new forms of mobilization are emerging outside traditional political structures such as parties and unions. How are these new forms of climate activism structured, and what is their political significance?

THE NEW VOICES OF RADICAL ACTIVISM
18.45 - 20.00
"Our house is burning, and we're looking elsewhere," declared President Jacques Chirac on September 2, 2002, during the 4th Earth Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. Since then, average temperatures have continued to rise. Faced with inaction and shock, civil society is organizing, and new forms of political mobilization are emerging, creating an alternative imaginary of action. From denouncing consumerism to civil disobedience, what are the new paths of radical ecology?
