TurboTax is a software package produced by Intuit for preparing US income tax returns.
TurboTax software allows its users to file taxes by filling out a complete online registration form. Upon registration this makes the software eligible for special offers, product updates and advance purchases. You will need to enter the license code for the TurboTax installation.

What is TurboTax license code?
The license code is a 16-character combination of letters and numbers (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) that verifies the software and allows you to finish the installation and start using TurboTax.
Where to find TurboTax license code?
The license code may appear in different places, depending on where you purchased your TurboTax software.
If you purchased TurboTax directly via TurboTax.ca, your license code will appear on the electronic receipt emailed to you.
If you purchased the TurboTax CD from a retail store, your license code is on the sleeve that the CD comes in.
If your box says TurboTax Online, you don't need a license code.
FROM CD
1. Insert the TurboTax CD into your CD-ROM or DVD drive
2. Navigate to the TurboTax CD on your PC (usually Drive D)
3. Double-click the setup.exe file to begin the installation
4. When prompted to activate your software, enter your licence code

2. Open the downloaded file and enter the licence code when prompted to activate your software
