WHAT IS STEAM?
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. At LKMS, STEAM works on keeping the school green by caring for and maintaining a rain garden, a butterfly garden, koi ponds, and homes for native species like bats and birds. We also work to spread awareness on environmental issues such as climate change and pollution. We have created a new seminar labeled Creative Problom Solving, in the 23-24 school year our SSFT idea has led us to become 1/300 state finalists, Representing the State of Maryland in the 2023 SSFT Contest
