Institut Josep Puig i Cadafalch is a public educational institution situated in Mataró, a coastal city in the comarca of Maresme, Catalunya. 

Mataró is the capital of the Maresme area, and it is located about 30 kilometers north-east of Barcelona. 

Institut Josep Puig i Cadafalch is in the upper part of the city. From the Mataró train station, it's a 30-40 minutes walking. The institute is also easily connected by bus to the train station (lines 1, 2 and 8). The train station itself is well-connected with frequent services to Barcelona.
