Collaboration matters Excellence in everything Community first Equity for everyone Continuous growth
Message from Mrs Cook
The sun is shining brightly and it's a happy time of year indeed. The first week of term in September is one of our favourite times here at Rockliffe Manor, it’s always an exciting time, and we are delighted, as staff, to share the enthusiasm and energy our children have brought back with them. We hope you all had a wonderful summer break filled with (some) sunshine, adventures, and quality family time.
One of the most amazing things about the start of a new school year is seeing how much our children have grown. It's not just in height but also in maturity and confidence. The school is once again buzzing with laughter and excitement and our children are eager to embark on new learning adventures, as well as catching up with their friends and their teachers. We began our first assembly exploring the theme of learning adventures, we discussed a story that reminded us that learning can truly be magical when we put our hearts and minds into it. As we begin this new academic year, we want the children to know that they have the power to make every day an adventure of learning and discovery, an opportunity to embrace challenges and to be kind. Kindness being our first value of the school year.
This September has seen us welcome some new families to our Rockliffe Manor community too, whether in Nursery, Reception or further up the school, we hope our new children and families feel the warmth of the Rockliffe Manor family.
We hope to see you all next week for our informal ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions on Thursday 14th September from 3:30 – 4:00pm, this will give you an opportunity to meet your child’s new teacher in their classroom and also to receive important information regarding class routines and timetables, as well as other curriculum information to enable you to support your child’s learning.
As a school, we know that the value of parental encouragement and support for learning cannot be underestimated, we are working on our parental engagement offer for the Autumn term and will be sharing more information with you on this shortly.
At Rockliffe Manor we love to share the exciting learning which is happening within our classrooms, we regularly use Twitter to share learning. Please follow us if you don’t already. You can find us using the twitter handle @RockliffeManor.
As we transition into the autumn season, we look forward to the colourful changes that lie ahead and the countless opportunities for learning and growth.
Please remember that our doors are always open if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to share your child's achievements and joys with us. Let's work together to make this school year the best one yet!
We look forward to seeing everyone back to school next week and hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
With very best wishes, Mrs Cook and the Rockliffe Manor team
