September 2024
Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe that we have been back at school for one whole month already! The first month of term in September is one of our favourite times of the year! It has been wonderful seeing all of the children settle straight into their new classes and there has been a buzz around school as the children see their friends and begin their Autumn one learning journeys. We would also like to say a huge welcome to our new nursery and reception children, we know you’ll have many happy years ahead!
The reception children have settled well into our school and have thoroughly enjoyed their full days including staying for lunch. Please be reminded that all children are entitled to a free, cooked meal. We would encourage parents to take up this offer! For further details about the nutritious school menu for this half term, please do contact the school office.
As a school community we have spent the last week exploring our school values and re-visiting what our values mean to us and how we model our values in all aspects of our lives. The children will also be re-introduced to our zones of regulation and character skills over the Autumn term which alongside our values, underpin our Global Curriculum.
We are excited to share some fantastic news that could benefit both your family and Foxfield Primary Schooll! Asda has recently announced an amazing opportunity to help fund UK primary schools through its loyalty programme, Asda Rewards. As part of a new campaign, fronted by Joe Wicks, Asda is offering to donate 0.5% of the value of any shop done using Asda Rewards until 30th November 2024 to the primary school of your choice. To get things started, Asda is giving each school an initial £50 and will top it up with an additional £1 for every customer who selects their school through the Asda Rewards app. The supermarket expects to donate an impressive £7.5 million to schools through this initiative! The best part? This donation comes at no cost to you and does not impact your own Asda Cashpot earnings. By simply shopping as you normally would and using your Asda Rewards app, you can help raise funds for school.

We regularly use Twitter/X to share learning with our community and as a platform to interact with our children and families. Please follow us if you don’t already. You can find us using the twitter handle @foxfield. We have made a change this year so that each year group has their own Twitter account that you can follow to get updates of your child’s learning in the classroom. Please give your year group a follow.
