Dear Foxfield Families,

Welcome back! It's hard to believe that we are already well into the Autumn term. It has been a pleasure to see all the children settle so well into their new classes, reconnect with friends, and dive into their learning journeys. The school has been buzzing with excitement as everyone embraces the new academic year. A very warm welcome to all our new families and especially to our new Nursery and Reception children – we are so happy to have you as part of our Foxfield community.

We are excited to share that Foxfield Primary has been chosen as a case study school for The Engagement Platform (TEP).  The Engagement Platform (TEP) is the leading measurement tool for engagement and they help schools collect and interpret data to ensure evidence-informed cycle of school improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to reflect on our practices and ensure we are providing the very best for our school community. The TEP surveys are a valuable tool used to gather feedback on various aspects of school life, providing us with a comprehensive understanding of our strengths and areas for development. Some of the highlights from the initial feedback have shown a very positive response regarding our supportive school environment and the children’s enthusiasm for learning. We are very proud to be chosen as a leading school and to feature as a case study.

It's time to start thinking about our upcoming Parents' Evening. These evenings are a fantastic opportunity to discuss your child's progress with their teacher and celebrate their achievements so far this term. A separate letter has been sent home shortly with detailed instructions on how to book your appointment through Arbor. Please do contact the office if you need any support with this.

Don't forget, you can always find a list of our school term dates on the Foxfield Primary School website. Simply navigate to the "Term Dates" section for all the information you need to plan ahead. Please make a note that the next INSET day will be on Friday 28th November. The school will be closed to pupils on this day.

We are so proud of everyone who took part in our summer sunflower competition! It was truly amazing to see the effort and dedication that went into growing these incredible plants over the summer holidays. The school has been filled with brilliant stories and photos of your sunflowers, and the standard was incredibly high. A huge congratulations to our winners! Their sunflowers were magnificent, and they received a special prize for their fantastic green-fingered efforts. Well done to all our budding gardeners! 

A final reminder. We are having our first own clothes day on Thursday 2nd October. Children can come dressed in their own clothes for a donation of £1!
