What a fantastic half term it has been! The first half Autumn term has been filled with fantastic learning experiences for our children. In every classroom there is now a learning display linked to the children’s Autumn 1 outcomes including the children’s writing and art outcomes. The children showed such pride when publishing their Autumn 1 learning.
This half term we have had a huge push on presentation across the school and after children have been attending the Presentation Panel. Each week, children from across the school can share their learning from different subjects and receive feedback on how to improve their presentation. Following specific feedback, children go on to earn the pen license to use in lessons.
Last week we hosted a visit from a group of schools from Wolverhampton. They came to learn about our approach to curriculum and spent time in classrooms speaking with children about their learning. We received some lovely feedback from the visitors: “Foxfield's is an incredibly special place, we all felt it as soon as walked through the doors. Please thank your staff and your fabulous children. They really are a credit to you.”
Join us on Friday 15th November at 3.20pm for our World Café event! This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to come together and sample a variety of delicious dishes prepared by the children as part of their Food DT Fortnight project. Celebrate the culinary creativity of our children and experience recipes and flavours from around the world. We look forward to seeing you there!
We regularly use X (formally Twitter) to share learning with our community and as a platform to interact with our children and families. Please follow us if you don’t already. You can find us using the twitter handle @foxfield. Each of the year groups also has their own Twitter account that you can follow to get updates of your child’s learning in the classroom.
Finally, we are finalising dates for Christmas events and shortly after half term we will share the Christmas letter with you all shortly after half term.
Please take the time to relax over the October half term break and we cannot wait to see you all after the break!
As a reminder, Inset day is on Friday November 29th. School will be closed to all children on this day.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
With very best wishes, Megan Minnett, Tatum Sharp and all of the Foxfield team
