November 2025
Dear Families,
We cannot quite believe we are already at the end of November! It was so lovely to see so many of you at our World Café. It was a spectacular showcase of the children’s D.T. learning from Food Fortnight. The children spoke with confidence and clarity about their design process, and the final dishes were both creative and delicious!
We are proud to share that Foxfield has been awarded the Mental Health Champions Bronze Award. This recognises our commitment to supporting the emotional well-being of our pupils and staff through a whole-school approach. The award recognises schools and children for making progress in areas like building resilience, managing anxiety and fostering a more mentally healthy school culture. Selected children went through training to learn how to manage stress, build resilience and improve their overall mental health and have been recognised for the steps taken by them to improve mental health culture. We continue to embed mental health awareness into our curriculum and daily practice.
As part of our commitment to high standards in English, we recently sent home a handwriting letter explaining our new approach. Foxfield Primary School is introducing Letter-join as its new whole-school handwriting scheme, following a successful trial. Aligned with the Department for Education’s Writing Framework, it supports the development of fluent, legible handwriting. Please do take your time to look over the handwriting letter that was sent to you as it shares how the children can also access the same resources at home via the Letter-join website on tablets, iPads, or computers.
We’ve also launched our Memorable Experiences programme starting in December, designed to enrich learning through some exciting memorable experiences over the course of this year. This academic year we are introducing for our children, Inflatables day, Foxfield’s got Talent and the Foxfield Bake Off! For further information, please do refer back to the letter which was sent in October and available on our website. A contribution of £2 can be made via Arbor now for your child.
We know that Christmas is a busy time in school. Therefore we shared two Christmas letter with you last month that contains all of the key dates and information for all the different activities taking place within school. If you would like to see copies of the letters again, please find them here:
