Dear Families,

We cannot quite believe that we are two thirds of the way through the academic year and the slightly warmer weather and brighter mornings are very much welcomed!  The warmer air has brought an air of optimism and the daffodils beginning to bloom which has certainly brought a Spring feeling to Foxfield!  Children have throughly enjoyed the Easter discos which have taken place this year and as a reminder there are still a couple of Easter Events taking place next week including:

Easter Bonnet Competition: We invite all students to unleash their creativity by designing and crafting their very own Easter bonnets at home. Whether it's adorned with colourful flowers, fluffy chicks, or Easter eggs galore, we can't wait to see the wonderful creations that our students will come up with. We kindly ask that all bonnets be submitted to the class teachers labeled with their name and class no later than Monday 31st March 2025. 

Our first Iftar was such a success. A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and contributed to the evening. It was fantastic to connect with one another, smile and enjoy tasty food altogether. We will look to build this as an annual event within our Foxfield community. The year five team and children deserve a huge thank you for all their hard work behind the scenes!

Earlier this month we held our Science week as part of British Science Week. Our already strong science curriculum was enhanced through various scientific investigations and experiments based on the theme. Thank you to parents who attended our Science Fayre last week, we hope you enjoyed looking at year group learning. Alongside this, the children have been working hard on the final art outcomes and writing outcomes for our Spring 2 displays.

Over last couple of weeks, we have noticed that many children are forgetting to bring their PE kits in for their two PE sessions each week. Please be reminded of the following expectations for our school PE kit:

• Black shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms

• White T-shirt

• Pumps or trainers

Finally, we want to remind you all that the last day of term will be Friday 4th April 2025. Children return to school on Tuesday 22nd April 2025. Finally, Eid Mubarak to all our families who will be celebrating next week.
