December 2025
Dear Families,
What a joyful Christmas season we’ve had at Foxfield! Thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our nativities and carol concerts. The children shone brightly on stage, performing with confidence and enthusiasm. Their hard work learning their lines and the songs truly paid off! Our annual Christmas dinner was another highlight, with children looking festive in their jumpers and enjoying a wonderful meal together.
We are delighted to share that Foxfield Primary was specially chosen by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to lead a local community wildlife project. Our pupils designed and decorated bird and bat boxes, which are now installed around the school grounds, creating new habitats for local wildlife. Their creativity was celebrated during a visit from a local MP, where children proudly explained how their work supports nature in partnership with the Borough. This project has given our children a huge sense of pride and firmly established Foxfield as a champion for both nature and the wider community.
At the start of December, we launched our first whole-school memorable experience, our: Foxfield Inflatables Day! The school hall was transformed into a space of laughter, energy and fun, with children bouncing, sliding, and racing through the inflatable challenges. It was a fantastic success and a wonderful way to kick off our new programme of events designed to create lasting memories. Looking ahead, we are excited to continue with more whole-school highlights in the spring and summer terms, including a culinary challenge (The Great Foxfield Bake off) our very first Foxfield’s got Talent.
As the term draws to a close, we are reflecting on the incredible achievements of our children. Through our global curriculum, they have explored themes of sustainability, peace and conflict, social equity, identity, diversity, human rights, and governance. Their learning, research and discussions have helped them develop an understanding of these important issues, culminating in their Global Outcomes presentations—a celebration of their growth as global citizens.
We wish you all a joyful break with your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 5th January 2026. Finally, please be reminded that school will finish at 2:00 pm at both the Easter and Summer breaks for all children.
With very best wishes, Megan Minnett, Tatum Sharp and all of the Foxfield team
