Dear Families,

The children have returned to school with great enthusiasm over the last two weeks and are already engaged in their summer learning. It is hard to believe that we are in the final term of this academic year already, but we are looking forward to what we can achieve as a school during this time.

We are committed to providing our children with the best educational experience and that begins with being in school every day. In line with the latest Department for Education (DfE) we view high attendance as the foundation for academic achievement and social wellbeing. We know that research shows that pupils with high attendance are more likely to succeed in their exams and maintain stronger friendships.Every moment in school counts. A huge congratulations to two of our children in years 1 and 4 who were the lucky winners of our 95% + Spring Attendance Hamper and our final week attendance challenge.

We are absolutely delighted to share the wonderful news that we have officially been reaching the high standards required to be awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence. This prestigious achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of their starting point, feels a deep sense of belonging and is empowered to achieve their very best. This award validates the daily dedication of our staff and the supportive spirit of our families, proving that at Foxfield, inclusion is not just a policy, but the very heartbeat of our school.

We’re proud to share that we have been recognised as a top-performing school nationally, receiving a Top 5% badge for four areas (Pupil enjoyment, Pupil inclusion, Pupil effort and pupil recommendation) in the Spring 2026 census with The Engagement Platform (TEP). This reflects the daily commitment of our pupils, employees and leadership team to building a positive, inclusive and motivating learning environment. Engagement is at the heart of our school improvement work. We’re proud of what our community has achieved and committed to building on it.

We were delighted to welcome the team from Arty Party into school recently to work alongside our pupils. Together, they have been busy designing and creating stunning, large-scale art pieces that are now produly displayed in the entrance to our school. This project gave the children to it was a chance collaborate, work with artists, take pride in their environment and leave a lasting legacy on our school!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to approach us at the gates—we’re always happy to help!

Thank you for your continued partnership and support and as always do let us know if there is any support we can provide.

 With very best wishes,

Megan Minnett, Tatum Sharp and all of the Foxfield team
